Senior Bowl
--Game Day: Saturday, January 30 (4 ET)
Game Preview
The 2010 Senior Bowl will kick off at 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Ladd-Peebles Stadium here in Mobile, Alabama. Although many scouts have already boarded planes back home, the game will still be the last chance players have to perform against each other on a Saturday -- it will be Sundays for most of these guys in the future.

The game itself is not as important for scouting purposes, but the stands will still be packed full of fans. Let’s hope at least a few won’t be there just to see Tim Tebow’s last collegiate game.

What to Watch For:

Jarrett Brown
The Quarterbacks: Each team plans to give their quarterbacks close to equal playing time. Jarrett Brown has looked pretty good this week, but Tim Tebow has not been as fortunate. Watch to see how they perform, and also take note of how the North offense reacts to mixing in a left-handed quarterback (Sean Canfield). The starters for each team have been announced with Tony Pike leading the North squad and Tebow starting for the South.

The Trenches: Several linemen have stood out this week. Be sure to keep an eye out for Mike Iupati and Terrence Cody dueling in the trenches. Both teams are required to run a 4-3, so expect Iupati and Cody to face off at least a couple times in the game.

LeGarrette Blount
Running Backs: It was a tough week to analyze running backs because of the lack of hitting. There will be hitting Saturday -- hopefully a lot of it. I’m excited to see how Dexter McCluster looks carrying the ball against some heavy hitters on the North team. He’s small, but he’s explosive. Also keep an eye on Oregon’s LeGarrette Blount and his 245 lb. frame. He’s looked good this week and will probably do some trucking Saturday.

Special Teams: Both Matt Dodge and Zoltan Mesko have boomed some great punts in practice this week. As much as people want to see offense in the game, expect to see some great defensive play and a lot of punts.

Fullbacks: These guys fly under everyone’s radar. Give them some attention Saturday as John Conner, Cory Jackson and Rashawn Jackson open up holes for some of the most explosive backs in college football.

Patrick Robinson
The Secondary: This year’s game will feature a lot of great defensive backs. If there are to be a lot of points posted Saturday, I expect at least six of them to come from a big pick from Patrick Robinson, Kyle Wilson or Perrish Cox. They’re big-time playmakers looking to make a big mark in the game this Saturday.

Injury Report:

O’Brien Schofield (torn ACL)… Jon Asamoah (shoulder)… Colin Peek has missed some practice this week from illness, but is expected to play.
